Clarence L. Betleyoun
Artist Biography

Clarence Betleyoun makes his home in Macon, Georgia, where he studied at Mercer University, Wesleyan College, and graduated from Macon State College. He has done additional study at the Chatov Studio in Atlanta and Workshops with Burton Silverman - Portrait & Figure Painting, and Watercolor Painting with Ray Ellis and Portrait Painting with Tom Nash.

Clarence worked in graphic arts for several years and then turned to teaching and painting full time where he conducts workshops nationally and internationally. Recently he taught a workshop in Shelburne Nova Scotia, Canada, Santa Fe New Mexico, and Destin, Florida.

Clarence paints in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, colored pencils, graphic, charcoal and also, he sculpts in clay, soapstone, alabaster, and marble. His subjects for his paintings and sculpture include the figure, portraits, landscapes, wildlife, seascapes and still life.
